Urbino 12 electric

New Solaris Urbino 12 electric is completely emission-free and quiet. With its unique style, extraordinary performance and low energy consumption, the new Urbino 12 electric is the perfect answer to the growing needs of dynamically developing metropolises. Thanks to the newly built Solaris battery-powered bus, inhabitants can breathe the clean air, while the city operators can benefit from about three times lower operating costs. The extraordinary vehicle is a result of the combination of Solaris’s new generation’s innovative construction with the eco-friendly zero-emission drive. The new Urbino electric bodyframe is made from corrosion-resistant materials. The exceptionally low weight and the robustness of the construction not only provide the high-quality and reliable bus but also ensure low energy consumption. With the clear and sharp lines introduced to the body, the vehicle gained more dynamic and even sporty character. The Urbino’s modern look is however primarily designed to improve functionality and to increase passengers’ comfort. All the practical enhancements such as wider doors facilitating the exchange of passengers, spacious windows, LED interior lighting, not to mention large number of seats, including pedestal-free ones, make the new Urbino the byword for comfort and care for environment. Solaris offers a wide range of configurations of both battery sizes and charging systems. The new Urbino electric can be fitted with a traditional plug-in connection as well as innovative pantograph or inductive charging systems. Moreover, Solaris buses can be equipped with fuel cell range extenders. Additionally, operators may choose between asynchronous central traction motors or drive axles with two electric motors mounted in the axle.
